Are you an experienced 1st Line IT Support Technician looking for exposure to a broad range of cutting-edge technology with a long-standing and still growing outsourced IT business, or do you have relevant sector qualifications and are looking for your first role in IT – Yes, then this may well be the role for you.
As 1st Line Support Technician you will be responsible for solving a broad spectrum of customer IT support cases by telephone, remotely, in the office or on-site as efficiently and professionally as possible.
You will be involved in managing assigned cases and assisting other team members when necessary and will need strong communication skills to update customers about the status of their outstanding cases on a regular basis.
To be considered for a 1st Line Support Technician role you will ideally have 2-3 years’ experience of working within either an internal or outsourced IT department.
Ideally, you will also have, either CompTIA A+ and/or CompTIA Network+ qualifications, a Computer or IT based degree and/or an understanding of IP based networks and knowledge of firewalls and IPSEC tunnels. You must also have a good standard of general education, including Math’s and English GCSE’s (or equivalent) Grade C or above and a full driving licence and be willing to travel as required.
As 1st Line Support Technician you will work a set shift pattern between the hours of 06:00 and 22:00 Monday to Friday plus scheduled weekend shift working between 08:30 and 17:30.
Salary will be between £16000 and £24000 depending on age for NMW purposes and on experience.
