This is a great opportunity for an experienced IT Sales Manager or Sales Director or possibly a very experienced IT Account Manager to join a long established but still growing independent IT solutions company with a wide portfolio of market leading products and services.

To be successful in this IT Sales Manager/Sales Director type role with direct line management responsibility for the entire company sales department consisting of dedicated Account Managers and New Business Sales Executives you must:

  • Be an inspirational leader, able to coach to improve team member performance and to create an environment for personal development of team members
  • Lead an account management and new business opportunity team
  • Be responsible for overseeing all aspects of client satisfaction and retention and new business generation
  • Ensure that sales are generated and a robust new business pipeline maintained
  • Ensure all department KPI’s are met including opportunity management, sales targets and company margins and ensuring department profitability is maximised
  • Attend customer meetings to ensure consistent delivery of solutions, service and brand
  • Make informed commercial decisions both tactical and strategic
  • Work with the team to secure profitable and deliverable solutions
  • Monitor individual team member and department KPI’s and ensure these are achieved and work with other senior managers to ensure company KPI’s are achieved
  • Ensure the continued growth of OPEX and CAPEX sales in line with or greater than forecasts
  • Manage case escalations through the wider company, working with engineering in particular to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Oversee team performance reviews and the development of team members
  • Contribute to and implement company and department improvements
  • Work cohesively with other managers to ensure companywide KPI’s and customer SLA’s are met throughout the business
  • Help manage the entire organisation and contribute to the company strategy and forecasting

If successful, you will have flexible working hours, starting between 08:00 & 10:00 and finishing between 16:50 & 18:50 depending on start time (minimum 7-hour 50-minute day + 1-hour lunch break), Monday to Friday. Flexible remote working is fully supported subject to business needs.

To be considered for this IT Sales Manager/Sales Director type role you should have:

  • A minimum of 5 years commercial sales management experience advising and delivering technical solutions
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to set individual and team objectives
  • An understanding of business finance – P&L, BS, GM and NP margins
  • Excellent presentation and project management and delivery skills and be able to produce high quality documentation
  • A passion for putting customers first and delivering exceptional customer service
  • Good commercial acumen
  • A good standard of general education including Math’s and English GCSE’s (or equivalent) Grade C or above and a clean driving licence

Salary £50,000-£60,000 depending on experience, plus enhanced holiday accrual, company pension, private medical cover and life insurance (subject to length of service)
